I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I work and live,
the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation - and pay my respects to Elders
past, present and emerging.
I have always had a strong interest in art and architecture, so, after many
years working in publishing as a designer, I finally decided to combine my passions and put pencil to paper. In 2015 I began illustrating some of my favourite buildings in and around the Sydney suburb of Newtown.
I like to bring attention to ordinary places. Buildings we've walked past a thousand times but have never really stopped to look at. Every time I start
a new illustration, I always discover something new - a quirky sign or an unusual detail. Without fail, there is always something that I’ve never noticed before - and it’s those little city bits that, to me, are always interesting
and always exciting.
